Merry Christmas, friends. I hope you all had a nice relaxing, fun, day and Santa got you everything you wanted.
I discovered that I am now of an age where receiving socks and pyjamas for Christmas is now an awesome thing. Traditionally, on Christmas Eve, I've always received new pyjamas, socks, a face mask and a book from my parents and we spend the evening chilling and reading. This year, was the same but I actually found myself looking forward to it, and that felt very bizarre. I got some Dumbo pyjamas, some bunny slipper socks and a book called The Prison Doctor - Violence. Drugs. Suicide. Welcome to the world of a Prison Doctor.
Dr Amanda Brown has treated inmates in the UK’s most infamous prisons – first in young offenders’ institutions, then at the notorious Wormwood Scrubs and finally at Europe’s largest women-only prison in Europe, Bronzefield
Christmas Day itself was a pretty standard affair - lots of food, lots of wine, lots of presents. I got a new bag, a new water bottle, a book called Mindhunter: Inside the FBI Elite Serial Crime Unit by John Douglas, a book called Talking with Serial Killers: A Chilling Study Of The World's Most Evil People by Christopher Berry-Dee, lots of chocolate, a sushi making kit and cookbook, a yo!sushi gift card, some soap moulds and a bath bomb making kit.
I'm staying at my parents house for the rest of the week where more food, more wine and more relaxation will occur. My mum and I have talked about some TV binge-watching, we're thinking about either Bones or Criminal Minds so I'm looking forward to that. Dad's mostly looking forward to the Boxing Day football.
